Eric Trump gets slammed on Twitter after bizarre Fox News rant about his dad and the Constitution

Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, is being mocked on Twitter following his latest bizarre outburst about his father and the U.S. Constitution.

On Monday, January 10, Eric Trump appeared on Fox News where he expressed disapproval of the legal actions New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) is taking against the former president. He suggested that James' campaign platform centered on taking down Trump.

“She ran on the campaign promise of suing my father because she didn’t believe in his political party,” he ranted.

However, HuffPost highlights the facts about James' investigation into the former president noting that it is not about politics but instead, "it’s focused on potential Trump Organization fraud, including whether the company manipulated the value of its real estate holdings."

Despite the facts, Eric argued that the case “violates the Constitution.” Like Eric, Donald Trump also believes there is some type of Constitutional violation where the suit is concerned as he insists that it is a form of harassment and is "depriving him of 'life, liberty, or property, without due process of law'" per HuffPost. He has filed a countersuit in an attempt to halt the investigation.

Going even further off the deep end, Eric said, “This is what you’d expect from Russia. This is what you’d expect from Venezuela. This is third-rate stuff.”

Due to his father's history of political bullying, social media users quickly pushed back against Eric's claims.
