Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) boycott of the LGBTQ-supporting Anheuser-Busch brew brand, Bud Light, is flopping.

The GOP lawmaker tweeted Saturday a picture of a case of Coors Light in the trunk of her car, writing, "I would have bought the king of beers, but it changed it's gender to the queen of beers. So it's made to chill from here on out."

According to NBC, her post comes after transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney posted to Instagram a sponsored video in partnership with Bud Light for its March Madness contest.

Bud Light has received significant backlash from conservatives, including Greene, since.

NBC reports:

In the two days since Mulvaney's post about Bud Light, which is owned by Anheuser-Busch, countless videos have been shared online showing consumers dumping their Bud Light products in trash bins and down sinks — and even violently destroying cans of the beer.

However, Greene publicly announced her retraction of support for Bud Light, not knowing Coors is a longtime advocate for LGBTQ rights.

Per Denver Pride's website: "'Coors Light has been a sponsor of the Center on Colfax and the Pride Parade and Denver PrideFest for nearly two decades,' said Molson Coors spokesperson Michael Nordman. 'Our Pride runs mile high so we are excited to support the Center’s vital programs and services that positively impact the LGBTQ community.'"

Social media users promptly pummeled the Republican for her obvious oblivion.
