Right-wing radio host Dennis Prager is facing heightened blowback for his recent condemnation of a sign that was supposed to exude positivity.

On Friday, September 16, a clip of Prager's recent radio broadcast began circulating on social media. During the broadcast, Prager complained about a school sign that he'd read. According to the conservative host, the sign read, " The world is better because you are in it."

While most would consider the message to be relatively positive, Prager offered a different perspective. "What a stupid message," Prager claimed. "Plus it's not true. What has any 5th grader done to have made the world better because he or she is in it?"

As the video circulates on Twitter, social media users are weighing in with their take. Prager is being deeply criticized for his seemingly far-fetched complaint.

"What a nasty thing to say," one Twitter user noted, "I know a fifth grader who volunteered at church 4 times a year to help set up beds to help house the homeless and continued to do it till he went away to college. Actually, he started helping in first grade. Prager is pathetic."

Another Twitter user wrote, "If my father had said to me, 'the world is better because you are in it.' I would have believed he was drunk." Sorry, your parents didn't love you my dude but even more sorry that ppl listen to your radio program."

"It's really sad that he feels wholeheartedly that his father does not believe the world is better with him in it," another user tweeted. "I guess that goes to show how he grew up being such a hateful person."
