'Symptom of moral and intellectual decline': Fox News host slammed for comparing Fauci to Nazi 'angel of death' doctor
Fox News host Lara Logan recently shared an awful opinion of the nation's top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci. During an appearance on Fox News Primetime, Logan laid out a comparison of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAIAD) director to Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor who performed dangerous experiments on Holocaust prisoners at Auschwitz-Birkenau during World War II.
“What you see on Dr. Fauci, this is what people say to me, that he doesn’t represent science to them,” Logan said as she referenced Fauci’s recent remarks about COVID and his efforts to mitigate the virus.
"This is what people say to me, that he doesn't represent science to them. He represents Joseph Mengele, the Nazi doctor who did experiments on Jews during the Second World War and in the concentration camps. And I am talking about people all across the world are saying this," Logan said.

Speaking to Fox News host Pete Hegseth, Logan also weighed in on the emergence of the new Omicron COVID variant as she condemned vaccination mandates. Falsely comparing the COVID-19 death rate to that of the seasonal flu, Logan also argued the vaccine mandates are unjustifiable.
"What is happening over time is that the entire response to COVID and everything that we were told about it from the beginning is being exposed. And it’s falling apart,” she declared. “The lies are coming apart. Really now, there is no justification for putting people out of their jobs or forcing vaccine mandates for a disease that ultimately is very treatable.”
Logan added, “It’s cheap to treat. Medicines are available all over the world. And it has death rates that compare very much to seasonal flu.”
Logan's remarks have prompted critical responses on social media.
Let's not forget Lara Logan was the reporter of a discredited 60 Minutes story from a Benghazi "eyewitness" who turned out to have not been present & this after denouncing Obama admin on its response to the attack. So she's always been a partisan hack, but now she's cray, too.pic.twitter.com/nIqXJaxBVu— Kincaid (@Kincaid) 1638238290
This outrageously false accusation is incredibly irresponsible but on brand for Lara Logan and Fox.
Which companies sponsor this dangerous propaganda?— Wendy the Warrior 🇺🇸 (@Wendy the Warrior 🇺🇸) 1638232384
I’m glad Fauci has a thick skin, he doesn’t get rattled. I don’t understand how this is allowed and why millions watch it— Save Democracy. #FreeJimStewartson (@Save Democracy. #FreeJimStewartson) 1638234003
The official Twitter account for the Auschwitz Memorial also responded saying, "Exploiting the tragedy of people who became victims of criminal pseudo-medical experiments in Auschwitz in a debate about vaccines, pandemic, and people who fight for saving human lives is shameful. It is disrespectful to victims & a sad symptom of moral and intellectual decline."
