'Has not served a day in uniform’: Lawyer for US Capitol cop slams Tucker Carlson
Attorneys representing one U.S. Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn recently pushed back against Fox News' Tucker Carlson after the conservative talk show host labeled him "an angry left-wing political activist."
On Wednesday, July 21, following Carlson's latest primetime segment, attorney Mark S. Said released a statement via Twitter as he condemned Carlson's rhetoric. He made one distinct difference between Carlson and his client very clear: Carlson "has not served a day in uniform," according to HuffPost.
"Tonight Fox News allowed its host Tucker Carlson, who has not served a day in uniform, whether military or law enforcement, to criticize the heroism and service of African-American U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn," the statement said. "Our client has served 13 years in law enforcement and on January 6, 2021, fought against an insurrectionist violent crowd ― no doubt many of them Carlson's supporters ― to protect the lives of our elected officials, including Vice President Pence."

Said's statement came shortly after Carlson targeted his client as he diminished his role as a law enforcement officer.
"Dunn will pretend to speak for the country's law enforcement community. But it turns out Dunn has very little in common with your average cop," Carlson said, according to Mediaite. "Dunn is an angry left-wing political activist whose social media feeds are full of praise, not coincidentally for Nancy Pelosi."
The attorneys added, "Frankly, the last thing Carlson wants is for the truth to emerge of what happened that day and why."
