On Thursday afternoon, July 1, the news in the United States was dominated by a major bombshell: Allen Weisselberg, chief financial officer for the Trump Organization, has entered a "not guilty" plea to charges that include grand larceny, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records. Michael Cohen, who was once the personal attorney and "fixer" for former President Donald Trump, has been stressing that the indictments of Weisselberg and the Trump Organization itself — which followed a comprehensive investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. — are merely the "tip of the iceberg." And the ex-president's niece, Mary Trump, is speaking out on which members of the Trump family she believes would be likely to turn against Donald Trump to save themselves.

Mary Trump, who has been a vehement critic of her uncle and aggressively supported now-President Joe Biden in the 2020 election, specifically mentioned Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump.

On Thursday night, July 1, Mary Trump told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, "His relationship with them, and their relationship with him, is entirely transactional and conditional. They're not going to risk anything for him, just as he wouldn't risk anything for them."

Cohen believes that Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump are all candidates for indictments from Vance's office. And Mary Trump believes that if push comes to shove, all of them would turn against their father to save themselves.

"I think (Donald Trump) would be surprised to learn that I don't believe my cousins would exercise that kind of loyalty towards him," Mary Trump told Maddow.
