Former Senior National Correspondent at ABC News, Terry Moran, says Father Time has caught up with Donald Trump, writing that the president is “seemingly unable to walk in a straight line.”

In his recent Substack, Moran argues that Trump’s physical decline is undeniable at this point. “Several times at recent rallies, he seems to have had some kind of vocal spasm. He falls asleep in public a lot,” Moran writes. He notes that the 80-year-old’s obsession with winning makes him blind to or unaware of his physical decline.

He notes that not all leaders who were fighting a battle against Father Time lost their influence, as he argues Trump has, writing: “Physical decline doesn’t automatically end the influence of a dominant leader. Franklin Roosevelt was clearly in desperate health and dying in front of the country in 1945, yet when he finally did pass away, the long shadow of his politics and policies stretched across decades. Charles de Gaulle’s influence in France remains strong to this day.”

Moran says that both Trump and his movement are dying. He references the anger of MAGA devotees who have turned their backs on him due to his tariffs, unpopular war, and declining popularity.

He calls Trump's Iran war "a wretched, stupid, unfocused and un-thought-out."

He says the conflict has exposed the president to the American people who believed in his judgment, arguing that his plan to continue the fighting after the midterm elections shows he is "winging it" and can't find a way out.

He writes that the president cares more about his renovations and enriching himself than the American people. Moran then makes a prediction for November 3, writing that Trump will get a shock and assign blame to the GOP: "I believe come November 3rd — he’ll be stunned how far he’s fallen. He’ll blame Republican candidates and lash out at anyone in the party who tries to tell him the truth. But deep down, he will know. It’s over. Playtime is over. Peak Trump is over. It’s all downhill from here."

Moran points out competitive districts Trump won by a huge margin, such as Indiana’s 5th District and Kentucky’s 6th District, which he carried by 15 points. He declares the downfall of Trump's MAGA movement and his declining mental and physical well-being is "now impossible to deny."

He advises poll watchers to pay attention to the margins, to look out for where Republicans are well behind compared to their historical performances. He concludes that a win for James Talarico "would be a political earthquake" and will be at his headquarters on election night.
