Political strategist torches GOP leaders by comparing them to 'Mean Girls'

One political strategist offered a blistering opinion of Republican lawmakers who lashed out at President Joe Biden's State of the Union speech.
On Tuesday, February, 7, Democratic strategist Chai Komanduri appeared on MSNBC News' "The Beat with Ari Melber" where he compared the Republican Party's efforts to " make MAGA happen” to characters in the film "Mean Girls."
At one point, he also took aim at Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) for her address after Biden's speech.

“It seems to be the GOP leadership is still very Trumpy and into MAGA,” Komanduri said to Melber referencing Huckabee Sanders' remarks criticizing Biden's speech.
Sanders, who served as press secretary for former President Donald Trump, ranted about culture wars — and Komanduri wasted no time lambasting the Republican governor for her remarks.
"They’re sort of trying to make MAGA happen, to use that famous phrase from ‘Mean Girls,‘” Komanduri said.
“I’ve never heard a direct comparison from ‘fetch,’ which they were trying to make happen so aggressively as slang in ‘Mean Girls,’ and the entire MAGA movement,” Melber responded. “I think ‘fetch,’ while not a great piece of slang, is probably less dangerous to democracy though, Chai.”
“I agree, but I think it’s a terrible slang phrase and I think Regina George was quite right to make sure that it never happened,” Komanduri joked.
