'Delete this': Politico slammed for using Meghan Markle in story about 'narcissists' like Musk and Trump

Social media users this week reacted to an op-ed published in Politico entitled, “2022 Is the Year We All Finally Got Tired of Narcissists,” in which Meghan Markle is depicted alongside people like Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Kanye West.
In the article, Politico wrote, “If the Sussexes’ addiction to the public eye is benign — they seem tiresome, but genuinely well-intentioned — a narcissist’s constant quest for eyeballs and acclaim can get a lot more dangerous."
And in the concluding paragraph, Politico said, “Whether people will also refrain from buying the next Sussex book or worshiping the next business wunderkind is a story for 2023. But there are signs, at least, that our patience is fading.”

Based on reactions from Twitter users, many people are begging to differ, asserting that Markle should not be grouped with the likes of Trump and Musk.
”One of these things is not like the other, @politico,” Chris Evans, @notcapnamerica tweeted.
Politico, in the article, also cited a Marina Hyde op-ed for The Guardian that called Harry and Meghan “a pair of ancient mariners with a TV contract, condemned to tell their tale to everyone they meet.”
Nick Laparra, @nicklapara, tweeted, “What is this bullshit, @Politico @JoannaWeiss? Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Kanye West, SBF, and Elizabeth Holmes? All megalomaniacal narcissists. BUT Meghan Markle? A black woman standing up for herself? Out of everyone, you go after her?
Delete this bulls**t. Do better.”
