Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) recently weighed in on former President Donald Trump's highly publicized arraignment and shared her opinion of his arrest.

During an appearance on Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), the Georgia lawmaker compared Trump's prosecution to Jesus and Nelson Mandela, insisting they were all prosecuted by what she described as "radical corrupt governments."

“Trump is joining some of the most incredible people in history being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested, served time in prison. Jesus! Jesus was arrested and murdered," she said.

Greene's remarks come as Trump faces his arraignment in connection with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's investigation into hush payments made to Stormy Daniels, the adult film star he is said to have had an affair with.

Although the media requested for the arraignment to be televised, that request was denied by a judge.
