MAGA rapper praises Marjorie Taylor Greene’s anti-trans obsession

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) drew strong criticism in the hip-hop world when, in January, she used Dr. Dre's hit "Still Dre" in a promotional video without his permission. The former N.W.A rapper told TMZ, "I don't license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one."
But on Sunday, July 16, Florida-based rapper Forgiato Blow — who, unlike Dre, shares Greene's political views — released a video praising her anti-trans activities and calling for a federal ban on gender-affirming care for minors. Greene told Newsweek, "Most rap videos exploit women, glorify drugs and violence, but Forgiato Blow's new video is about calling out the left's grooming agenda and protecting our children from genital mutilation."
Greene promoted the video on Twitter, posting, "Protecting our children has to be our number one priority. Check out the new song, MTG, by @ForgiatoBlow47!! Thank you for helping me promote the Protect Children's Innocence Act!"

The anti-MAGA @PatriotTakes tweeted that in the past, Blow (whose real name is Kurt Jantz) "released a music video about shooting his girlfriend, duct taping her body in trash bags, and then dumping her in a lake."
Politics have been a part of hip-hop for more than 40 years, going back to Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five's "The Message" in 1982. Over the years, most political MCs have leaned to the left (Ice-T, Public Enemy, Paris, KRS-1, Immortal Technique). But Blow, a supporter of former President Donald Trump, is among the rappers who has been using his music to promote a far-right MAGA agenda.
