'Perpetual victims': Twitter lampoons Florida restauranteur for whining about Bud Light

A business owner in Florida recently condemned Bud Light for entering into a partnership with a transgender person, suggesting that it has led to "the most difficult two weeks we've ever experienced in our life."
Footage of the business owner's remarks is now circulating on social media and Twitter users have weighed in with critical comments.
On Tuesday, April 25, Joe Penovich, the owner of Grills Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar, complained about what he described as a "terrible week."
"Yeah, there's been a terrible week. It's been actually a couple of weeks now," Probably the most difficult two weeks we've ever experienced in our life in this industry. Why is it the most difficult period of your life?" Penovich asked.
He added, "They held a social knife over all of our heads here and they dropped it very irresponsibly. It threw us into turmoil. By standing on our biblical faith, it put us at odds with other people that didn't take that stance. And that brought us into hell on Earth.
Reacting to Penovich's remarks, Twitter users sarcastically mocked Penovich for his pseudo-outrage.
"Perpetual victims," one user tweeted. Writer and editor Kevin Kresse also tweeted, "Charmed life. There's like 1000 alternative beers waiting to be served."

Another user noted the double standards in Penovich's remarks tweeting, "Wait, as a personal choice, you fight for laws to allow you to 'deny access and service based on faith,' and now you come to realize it might not be such a good business model? Cause sales are down?"
Another user also took aim at Fox News viewers tweeting that they "live in their own privileged little bubble and have no idea how out of touch they sound to the rest of America."
