Eric Trump blames father’s legal trouble on 'weaponization' against the GOP

Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, shared his thoughts Thursday on his father's recent arraignment in New York regarding the 34 charges he faces for making hush money payments to adult film star, Stormy Daniels.
However, Eric does not believe his father should be held accountable for his actions — but the Democratic Party should.
@Acyn posted a clip of the Newsmax interview, writing, "Eric Trump: The military's weaponized. You see Milley out there saying yes, I wanted rename every single military brace. I want to rename Bragg and all these. You see healthcare being weaponized. Look at what they did during Covid."

Mark A. Milley serves as Joint Chiefs of Staff, the nation's highest-ranking military officer, and Alvin Bragg is the Manhattan District Attorney who led the hush money payments investigation.
Politico reported last month a "small but vocal minority of Republicans" are criticizing Milley and other top military officials, accusing them " weakening the armed forces by imposing 'woke' policies on troops."
"Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Mark Milley 'is an information guy, so he has binders and binders full of information about how the military trains and prepares for combat,'" his spokesperson, Col. David Butler, told Politico. "Wokeness doesn’t fit into that equation. Working together as a fighting unit regardless of your race, color or gender does."
In an attempt to push his weaponization argument, Eric Trump said, "Look at higher education; lower education; colleges — look at the FBI and the DOJ — they're all being weaponized."
He continued, "They're going after my father in Georgia, they're going after him in New York. District attorneys, attorneys general — they're all being weaponized," he claimed. "Every system that matters in this country is being weaponized by the Democratic Party."
The 2024 hopeful's son asserted Republicans "better beat it back or we're going to have real problems."
