Herschel Walker's wife initiates contact with his abortion accuser: report

Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker claims to have no knowledge of the woman who recently revealed she had an abortion after becoming pregnant with the former NFL star's child.
However, according to The Daily Beast, the woman has confirmed that Walker's wife, Julie Blanchard, has reached out to her. Per the news outlet, the two corresponded via text message.
In fact, Blanchard is said to have been the one to initiate the conversation on Friday, October 7. "The woman—who says she later had a child with Walker against his wishes in 2012—told Blanchard it was 'cruel' that Walker 'continues to claim he doesn’t know me or the abortion he paid for,'" The Beast reports.

“He brought all of this on himself when he decided to get on a platform and denounce abortion and make a mockery of his children who have done NOTHING to deserve this,” the woman wrote, “Shame on him."
At one point during the text message conversation, the woman also asked Blanchard if she was aware of the abortion. "Instead of directly answering the woman’s question about the abortion," The Beast reports, "Blanchard wrote that 'this makes me incredibly sad,' claiming she 'continually tried to bridge a better relationship' between the estranged family members."
Blanchard went on to say she “witnessed every day Herschel pray for you and [your son] & everyone in our family.” She added that the Senate candidate does manage to call and text the child "regularly.” According to Blanchard, Walker experiences “sadness” when he doesn't receive any responses.
The mystery woman replied, “Are you kidding me?”

Blanchard has reportedly served as a liaison between Walker and the woman for the last couple of years. Shortly after their conversation, Walker's campaign sent out a mass fundraising text message refuting the allegation calling the rumpred abortion a "flat-out lie."
