Tucker Carlson roasted after applauding tweet posted by parody Twitter account

Fox News' Tucker Carlson is at the center of ridicule for his latest reporting blunder after he referenced a parody Twitter account named after a pornographic website.

The latest debacle centers on the conservative prime time host's Tuesday night segment of "The Tucker Carlson Show." In the midst of criticizing a Bloomberg op-ed offering advice to Americans facing challenges due to inflation, Carlson shifted and said, “Well, there are still geniuses in this country, and some of them post anonymously on Twitter … Here’s what one said.”

The referenced tweet appeared to align directly with the perspective of Carlson's right-wing target audience. The tweet read, “You're [sic] watching a master-level Ponzi scheme. 2020 crash gets laundered through covid bailouts. COVID bailouts laundered through inflation. Inflation laundered through war in Ukraine. The war and its effects on the globe will be laundered through climate change. The perps walk.”

While Carlson believed the tweet was the perfect reference for his argument, he may have reconsidered using it if he'd done a little more research. According to Yahoo! News, "it came from @BLCKD_COM_PlLLD, an 'anonymous sh–poster' (account owner’s own words), who thought the whole thing was doggone funny."

The owner of the parody account also tweeted a reply to Carlson. “What makes this all a million times funnier is how many critical tweets I have of tucker lmao,” the account holder tweeted in response.

However, the mocking didn't stop there. The account holder went on to create a meme that depicted himself appearing on Carlson's show.
