Since Fox News' Tucker Carlson has offered multiple conflicting reports on the chaos unfolding in Ukraine, he recently brought in Fox News invasion expert Douglas MacGregor to offer insight on what's really transpiring overseas.

On Monday, March 7, MacGregor appeared on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" where he weighed in on the madness Russian President Vladamir Putin has caused as he criticized the sanctions being brought against Russia. MacGregor, former U.S. Army colonel and Trump-appointed Putin propagandist with a racist history, described the sanctions as "useless."

"The sanctions … will do a lot of damage to us,” MacGregor told Carlson. “They’re not going to make much difference to Russia. China will stand with Russia. It knows it has to. Russia has an abundance of food and energy. China will take it all. Russia will not suffer as a result of our sanctions. In fact, it may break down the financial system that we have set up to punish everyone in the world we don’t like.”

MacGregor's discussion with Carlson comes just days after his recent appearance on Fox Business where he expressed to Stuart Varney that he believes the Russian military has been "too gentle" with Ukraine during the initial days of the invasion.

At the time, a seemingly surprised Varney pushed back against MacGregor saying, “I’m inclined to disagree with you, Colonel."

However, Rolling Stone notes that MacGregor's remarks shouldn't come as a surprise. In fact, a few days prior to that discussion, Varney reportedly said "that America needs to stop demonizing Putin and refrain from sending any aid to Ukraine."

When asked if he believes the United States should just step aside and let Russia ascend on Ukraine, Macgregor said “absolutely.” He also dismissed the severity of the invasion arguing that it shouldn't be considered a big deal because “the population there is indistinguishable from their own.”

Despite his disturbing remarks, it does not look like MacGregor will lose air time anytime soon.
