Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is being mocked on social media following former President Donald Trump's recent interview condemning him.

It's no secret the Republican lawmaker has long been an avid supporter of former President Donald Trump often justifying his actions even when he is blatantly wrong. However, his support of Trump appears to have backfired. The latest debacle stems from Trump's recent rally in Conroe, Texas.

At one point during the rally, Trump told his supporters he would pardon those facing charges in connection with the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol.

"If I run and I win, we will treat those people from January 6 fairly," Trump told rallygoers. "If it requires pardons, we will give them pardons because they are being treated so unfairly."

The following day, Graham shared his opinion of those remarks describing pardons for Capitol rioters as "inappropriate." Apparently, Graham's remarks did not sit well with the former president.

Speaking to Newsmax's Rob Schmitt on Tuesday, February 1, Trump reflected on the series of events that unfolded on Jan. 6 as he shared his opinion of Graham's reaction to his rally remarks. “Lindsey Graham is wrong,” Trump said during the interview. “I mean, Lindsey is a nice guy, but he’s a RINO. Lindsey’s wrong.”

Trump also insisted that his supporters who stormed the Capitol “are not guilty” and said Graham “doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about.”

As footage of the interview began circulating on social media, Twitter users quickly shared their reaction to Trump turning on Graham. The Pro-Trump senator is now being relentlessly mocked for blindly following a former president who wasted no time abandoning him when it suited him.

"Imagine how upsetting it must be for Lindsey Graham to hear this while barnacled to the inside of Trump’s rectum," one Twitter user wrote. Then, another echoed those remarks tweeting, "Lindsey Graham sold out his soul for this guy only to get thrown under the bus like he's nothing."
