The estranged wife of a Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate has opened up about her husband's violatle behavior behind closed doors.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirier, Sen. Sean Parnell (R-Pa.), a front-running Republican Senate candidate who is also being endorsed by former President Donald Trump, is accused of physically abusing his wife and children.

On Monday, November 1, Parnell's wife provided a detailed testimony where she recalls multiple occasions where she allegedly suffered abuse at the hands of her husband. During the hearing, she shed light on a man who has "intense rage and post-traumatic stress disorder, saying the abuse began even before they were married, in 2010, but became worse in 2018, the year he 'started hitting the kids.'"

Per The Inquirier, Laurie Snell told the judge that "her husband once called her a 'whore' and a 'piece of s—' while pinning her down. On another occasion, she said, Parnell slapped one child hard enough to leave fingerprint-shaped welts through the back of the child's T-shirt. And she said he once got so angry he punched a closet door with such force it swung into a child's face and left a bruise. She said Parnell told his child: 'That was your fault.'"

She also recalled an incident that occurred around the Thanksgiving holiday back in 2008. At the time, Parnell allegedly kicked her out of their car onside of a highway as he ordered her to "get an abortion."

Despite the allegations and his wife's testimony, Parnell is denying that he has ever physically abused his wife. In a statement released by his campaign team, the U.S. Army veteran railed against her claims and suggested that he would be refuting the allegations in court next week.

"Let me emphatically state: I have never raised a hand in anger towards my wife or any of our three children," the statement said. “What happened today in court was not justice, nor did it have any basis in fact or truth."
