Horrifying new video shows police being 'dragged into the mob' during Jan. 6 riot

Although some Republican politicians and right-wing media pundits have downplayed the amount of violence that occurred during the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol Building, the disturbing videos from that day speak for themselves, including newly released video that NBC News' Scott MacFarlane posted on Twitter Friday.
MacFarlane notes that the disturbing video "appears to show police being dragged into the mob," pointing out that it has been released by the U.S. Department of Justice "under court order."
Saying that the graphic video merits a "trigger warning," MacFarlane warns that it is "difficult to watch."
The video makes it painfully clear that many of the January 6 rioters were not frustrated patriots and concerned citizens who went a bit overboard in expressing their frustration, as Fox News' Tucker Carlson has said — and that real violence occurred on January 6.
