Over the last several weeks, QAnon supporters have floated a date far-right conspiracy theorists believe will serve as former President Donald Trump's return to power. QAnon believers insist March 4 will be the date Trump becomes the "new world president."

With the date being just hours away, the U.S. Capitol Police has serious concerns about the possibility of civil unrest like the series of events that erupted at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. According to ABC News, U.S. Capitol Police have increased security measures ahead of March 4 in the wake of heightened security threats.

On Tuesday, March 2, the federal law enforcement agency released a statement to address concerns about March 4.

"The Department is aware of concerning information and intelligence pertaining March 4th and continues to work with all of our law enforcement partners," the federal law enforcement agency said. "Based on the intelligence that we have, the Department has taken immediate steps to enhance our security posture and staffing for a number of days, to include March 4th. The Department has communicated our enhanced posture as well as the available intelligence for the entire workforce."

According to the federal agency, the latest security threats stem directly from QAnon. The group responsible for a number of disturbing, far-right conspiracy theories "allege the world is run by a secret cabal of Satan-worshipping cannibalistic pedophiles," the publication reports.

In addition to those claims, QAnon believers also insist President Joe Biden is not the real president of the United States but rather a "malfunctioning robot wearing human-like skin," according to a panel of former QAnon believers who appeared on CNN. ABC News also reports that "followers of the fringe movement believe that the 2020 U.S. presidential election was stolen from Trump, who has pushed baseless claims of voter fraud along with his allies."
