Republican Congressman Scott Perry Seriously Thinks ISIS Was Behind Las Vegas Shooting

Media

In a Thursday night interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, a Republican congressman from Pennsylvania claimed he has “evidence” that suggests the Islamic State is responsible for the deadly shooting in Las Vegas last October.

“I smell a rat like a lot of Americans do,” Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) told Carlson.

“Recently, I have been made aware of what I believe to be credible evidence, credible information regarding potential terrorist infiltration through the southern border regarding this incident,” the congressman told the Fox News host.

“Terrorists?” Carlson asked with his characteristic look of surprise.

“Twice before the attack, ISIS warned the United States that they would attack Las Vegas in June and August, and after the attack claimed responsibility four times,” Perry claimed. “Meanwhile, the local law enforcement investigative services are telling us there is no terrorist connection, lone gunman, again, something is not adding up.”

The Islamic State, it should be noted, has often claimed responsibility for attacks it had nothing to do with — a common tactic used by terrorist groups to make themselves appear all the more credible and terrifying.
