Joe Walsh is gunning for a Trump win — literally.
"On November 8th, I'm voting for Trump. On November 9th, if Trump loses, I'm grabbing my musket," the former Tea Party congressman from Illinois tweeted Wednesday.
Naturally, the contoversial comment was met with scepticism.
"What does that mean exactly?" CNN's Jake Tapper asked Walsh.
The tweet has since been condemned by Dan Gross, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
"Joe Walsh's continued vile and violent rhetoric has no place in our political discussion," Gross stated about the former Rep. who previously threatened Obama in the wake of the Dallas shootings in July.
So, given Walsh's history, it's not surprising that the former Tea Partier would openly call for a militia to assemble should Trump be defeated. Here's what is:
Just Monday, Walsh, also a conservative radio show admitted on his own program that, "Trump has brought on so much of this by himself . . . because he's been distracted by stupid stuff . . . do you know what I mean?"
"Trump's giving [the media] plenty of information, I mean ammunition," Walsh continued.
The guy sure does like those gun metaphors.
