The presidential election has ushered in a lot of talk from both parties on American jobs, particularly about the ones that have been recently offshored. Yet, with business ventures like taking off, it's fair to say that a lot of those jobs will be soon replaced worldwide The new KFC concept store 'Original+ where the robot "Dumi" takes your order opened with much fanfare in April and hopes to a attract a hip, young crowd. According to The Sun, "Dumi is the culmination of ten years of research and development into artificial intelligence by Baidu – a Chinese web services company. The robot is said to appear soon in other real-world environments, although Baidu has not provided any specific details."
A commercial for the concept restaurant features "Dumi" and Chinese pop star Lu Han playfully engaged with artificially intelligence. To most Americans, this probably appears as a sci-fi flick, but in Shanghai it's reality.
