Israel Releases 12-Year-Old Palestinian Prisoner

Human Rights

Dima Al-Wawi was believed to be the youngest prisoner in the world. She is now at home with her parents in the West Bank.

Her parents appeared TWO weeks ago for her release in exchange for a $2,100 fine.

On February 9, Dima Al-Wawi  was arrested at an illegal Israeli settlement near Hebron. Authorities accused her of trying to stab a Jewish soldier with a knife. She was then detained  and changed with voluntary manslaughter.

This is a clear violation of all international law, and Al-Wawi's arrest caused worldwide outraged.
