WATCH: Colbert Roasts 'NostraDonald' as Well as Trump's False Memories
Donald Trump is not funny (at least not intentionally so), but boy does he make Stephen Colbert's job easy. And the late-night comedian is grateful for that.
In the past week, Trump has stuck by his provably incorrect assertion that thousands of people (Muslims, he claims) in Jersey City were cheering as the towers fell on 9/11.
Repeatedly confronted with the fact that there is no evidence for this ever having happened, Trump said he knows it's true because he has "the world's greatest memory." No irony. No shit.
"That's right," Colbert said. “He can’t remember exactly where he saw that video, but he can remember that he has ‘the world’s greatest memory.'”
See, all Colbert has to do is repeat what Trump said verbatim. Laughs ensue.
Next, Colbert makes hay out of Trump's boast that he predicted Osama bin Laden would do damage to the country in 2000. By then, of course, OBL had already been behind various attacks.
"It's like he has a fifth sense that lets him see what's already in the newspaper," Colbert quips, before launching into his hilarious send-up of "NostraDonald."
