A new clip from Brave New Films contrasts the language used by the media to describe black protests and the terms used when talking about the (mainly) white riots that sometimes occur after professional sports championships. Last year, AlterNet's Kali Holloway compiled a list of "stupid reasons" that white people have rioted. Holloway points out that unlike the examples of white rioting that she highlights, in the case of black protests, "the media and conservative pundits have displayed far too great a willingness to chalk up the destruction to black pathology without looking at longstanding policies."
