'You're setting him up': Fox News host accuses Alvin Bragg of 'putting Donald Trump's life in danger'

Fox News host Jesse Watters complained on Tuesday's edition of The Five that former President Donald Trump's next scheduled court appearance in Manhattan later this year will lead to multiple existential risks to Trump's personal safety.
New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan "will decide on expected motions to dismiss the case," The Hill reported following Trump's arraignment to face the thirty-four-count indictment filed against him by District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
The outlet also pointed out that the hearing will take place "roughly two months before the official start of the 2024 Republican presidential primary calendar."

Watters and Trump's other right-wing media defenders maintain that Bragg's case is "political persecution." But his argument on Tuesday was far more extreme:
And I got to tell you. You're putting Donald Trump's life in danger. You're setting him up and advertising the entire world, the former president of the United States, the Republican nominee for the presidency, is going to be at this location, at this time, on this date. And you've got towers, and you've got windows. You think that's good for this country, to put a man like that in a certain location – December 4th – and then what if it goes to trial? He has to be there every day. You think the Secret Service wants that? That is dangerous. And he is playing a dangerous game.
Pundit Bill Hemmer then chimed in, encouraging New Yorkers to stay home when Trump returns to the Big Apple.
"Big job, big job. That's a Monday, by the way," he noted. "Might be a good day to take off in this city."
