Just 24 hours after the House of Representatives gaveled out for recess, another House Republican was just confronted by hundreds of angry constituents at a town hall meeting.
CNN reported Thursday that Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-N.C.) was greeted by hundreds of constituents at a "very packed" town hall meeting, who lined up around the block hours ahead of schedule. One man who identified as a U.S. military veteran was dragged out moments after he stood up and shouted at Edwards over his support of President Donald Trump and South African centibillionaire Elon Musk's mass firings of federal workers.
"You're lying! I'm a veteran! You don't give a f--- about me," the man said. "Shut the f--- up! You want to take away my rights! You don't get to take our healthcare ... You don't get to do this to us!"

CNN reporter Isabel Rosales filmed a crowd of people outside the building who couldn't get into the standing-room-only venue with a max capacity of 300 people, who at one point were banging on the doors and chanting "do your job." However, she also observed that some in the crowd were appreciative of their congressman for being willing to host an in-person town hall following a wave of public outrage directed at other Republicans during town hall meetings.
"These heated exchanges, this airing of grievances, it was it was clear that the firing of federal workers in particular, really struck a nerve," Rosales said. She then aired a clip of a constituent asking Edwards why he was "doing nothing while Trump destroys the U.S. Constitution."
"I happen to believe very much that President Trump supports our Constitution," Edwards said to audible boos and jeers. "And I sleep good at night knowing that every vote that I cast is in support of our Constitution and your freedoms."
