Tucker Carlson rails against 'hard to use' Fox Nation in unearthed video: report

As part of its defamation lawsuit against Fox News, Dominion Voting Systems presented, as evidence, text messages and e-mails showing a major contrast between what Fox News hosts said on the air compared to what they said behind the scenes. One former Fox News host who could be highly critical of his colleagues was the recently fired Tucker Carlson.
In a 2022 video obtained by Media Matters, Carlson rails against Fox News' streaming service Fox Nation. Carlson, off the air, is heard discussing an interview with Andrew Tate — a far-right kickboxer who is known for his misogynist views and now lives in Romania.
Carlson, on the set of his show "Tucker Carlson Tonight," tells his colleagues, "Nobody watches Fox Nation because the site sucks. So, I'd really like to just put the — dump the whole thing on YouTube. But anyway, that's just my view, OK. I'm just frustrated with it."

The then-Fox News host continues, "It's hard to use that site. I don't know why they're not fixing it. It's driving me insane. And they're like making, like, Lifetime movies. But they don't, they don't work on the infrastructure of the site. Like what? It's crazy. And it drives me crazy because it's like we're doing all this extra work and no one can find it."
Media Matters' Matt Gertz notes that part of Carlson's interview with Tate was aired on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" in 2022 with a banner that read, "Go watch the full Andrew Tate interview on Fox Nation right after this show."
