Last month, Dominion Voting Systems' $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News exposed Fox News host Tucker Carlson's true feelings towards former President Donald Trump.

The suit revealed both owner of the conservative news network, Rupert Murdoch, and Carlson both were displeased with Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 election, despite airing support of his false voter fraud claims.

"I hate him passionately," said Carlson about the former president in a text message sent on January 4, 2021, also calling Trump a "demonic force."

Still, earlier this week, the far-right host traveled to Trump's Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago, to interview the MAGA 2024 hopeful he claimed to "hate."

While reporting on the pair's conversation Wednesday night, MSNBC host Chris Hayes could not contain his laughter, Mediate reports.

The All in with Chris Hayes host "aired a clip of Carlson telling viewers, 'For a man who is caricatured as an extremist, we think you'll find what he has to say moderate, sensible, and wise.'"

Hayes aired the portion of the interview "in which Carlson apologized to Trump for insulting North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un."

The ex-president told Carlson, "I did a great job with North Korea, Kim Jong-un. You went with me on a trip. You insulted him."

“Sorry,” Carlson replied.

Additionally, Hayes rolled a clip of Trump "claiming that court employees were crying during his arraignment in Manhattan last week."

Hayes said, "Mr. moderate, sensible, and wise proceeded to make Tucker Carlson listen to a made-up so story about how devastated the New York court staff were about his arrest last week."

The clip showed Trump saying, "They were crying, they were actually crying. They said, 'I'm sorry.' They'd say, '2024, sir, 2024.' And tears are pouring down their eyes. I've never seen anything like that. Those people are phenomenal."

Hayes chuckled.

"I swear to God," the MSNBC host said. "If I didn't know Donald Trump better and his lack of a sense of irony, I would think he was doing a Donald Trump bit. Now, I don’t know which is more cringe-inducing – that Trump has done the same tough-guys-had-tears-in-their-eyes-for-me story like 100 times, or that Tucker had to sit there and just be enthralled by it."
