Donald Trump is doubling down on his debunked claim that Springfield, Ohio Haitian migrants are eating pet cats and dogs.

Speaking to a Pennsylvania MAGA crowd Monday night, Trump said, "Do you think Springfield will ever be the same? The fact is — and I'll say it now — you have to get 'em the hell out. You have to get 'em out. I'm sorry. Can't have it. Can't have it.They've destroyed it."

The Trump supporters cheered before chanting, "Send them back!"

Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan replied: "Trump calling for the ethnic cleansing of legal immigrants in the United States."

Stanford University professor of political science Michael McFaul commented: "Grateful that when my family immigrated legally to this country -- just like the Haitians in Springfield did -- there was not a demagogue like Trump around trying to force them to go back to Ireland. We cant let this happen here."

Novelist S.A. Cosby added: "I know a lot of us are numb to this racist ignorant pile of gibbering rabid pile of nake mole rats in a suit bit this is how ppl get killed. He wants to deport ppl who are here LEGALLY. Working, paying taxes , trying to make a life. He is the most banal example of evil"
