Trump privately grumbles to aides he’s 'more popular' than Taylor Swift: report

Even though former President Donald Trump has plenty to occupy his mind — such as his bid for the presidency or the three prosecutors attempting to put him behind bars for the rest of his life — Trump seemingly can't keep his mind off of Taylor Swift's stardom.
According to a recent report in Rolling Stone, the 45th president of the United States has become slowly more consumed with the fact that the pop star could endorse President Joe Biden ahead of the November election. "A source close to Trump" told the outlet that behind closed doors, the 45th president of the United States complains that he's "more popular" than the 20x diamond-certified recording artist and that his supporters are more committed to him than Swifties are to the singer.
"Last month, the source close to Trump adds, the ex-president commented to some confidants that it 'obviously' made no sense that he was not named Time magazine’s 2023 Person of the Year — an honor that went to none other than Swift in December," the report read.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to hold office again?
Swift has lately become the target of conspiracy theorists who are overwhelming social media with claims that she and the NFL are in cahoots. Some have even suggested that the outcome of Super Bowl LVIII – in which the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, whose star tight end Travis Kelce is dating Swift, will play the San Francisco 49ers — has been pre-determined in order to give the Chiefs another win and allow Swift and Kelce a worldwide platform to publicly throw their support behind Biden.
Failed Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has backed that theory, telling supporters on X/Twitter that the "artificially culturally propped-up couple" will make a "major presidential endorsement."
"Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months," Ramaswamy wrote.
According to Rolling Stone, Taylor Swift has become a target of the former president, who has reportedly held a grudge after she endorsed two Democratic candidates for office in her home state of Tennessee and endorsed President Biden in 2020. The singer in 2020 accused Trump of trying to "blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk" when his appointed postmaster general, Louis DeJoy, announced plans to inhibit mail-in voting during the last election.
