'No mental issues here': Trump brutally mocked over bizarre remark in Pennsylvania speech

A remark former President Donald Trump made during a campaign speech in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has some political observers on both sides of the aisle scratching their heads.
X/Twitter user @Acyn, who is the senior digital editor for liberal group Meidas Touch, posted a clip from the speech in which Trump warned supporters that if he was not elected to a second term, Democrats would change the state's name.
"We have to, we have to win in November, or we're not gonna have — Pennsylvania? They'll change the name," Trump said. "They're gonna change the name of Pennsylvania."

"This is perfectly normal," conservative attorney George Conway sarcastically tweeted in response to the video. "Absolutely no mental issues here." Meidas Touch's Ben Meiselas' tone was similar, writing "You hit this one out of the park Donald. Great speech."
Business Insider columnist Ed Zitron attempted to mimic the former president's cadence in a tweet, writing, "They're gonna make it Theythemsylvanian, people are saying they'll make [former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback] Donovan McNabb the governor, I know, I know, it's terrible, they're saying Mr. McNabb will be given far too much power."
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania), didn't hold back, quote-tweeting the clip of Trump's remark with a GIF from the 1980 satire Airplane! in which a pilot is seen sniffing glue until he faints. An X user responding to Fetterman's tweet wrote "Trump picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue" (which is another reference to the movie).
Trump's remark in Pennsylvania was merely the latest puzzling quip from the former president, whose critics have noted that the 77-year-old's public statements have become increasingly unhinged. During a January speech in New Hampshire, Trump confused former UN ambassador Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California), saying his GOP primary opponent's name multiple times before falsely stating she was in charge of security at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
