President Donald Trump snapped at a female reporter aboard Air Force One on Sunday night after she asked him about a possible military strike in Iran.
“Do you think Iran takes your threats seriously?” the reporter asked the president.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that Trump is expected to get information about a possible strike on Iran by Tuesday.
"Don’t you think so? Wouldn’t you say that they probably do at this point? After going through it for years with me, being hit, [Qasem] Soleimani, [Abu Bakr] al-Baghdadi, the Iran nuclear threat wiped out. Don’t you think — and then you just had Venezuela. Don’t you think, she says, CNN, 'Do you think they take your threat seriously?' Wouldn’t you say they do after all of the things we’ve done? What a stupid question," Trump replied.
Trump claimed that Iran called him to negotiate and that they're likely "tired of being beat up by the United States."
“We’re looking at some very strong options,” Trump said. If Iran tried to retaliate by targeting American soldiers in the region, Trump pledged, “we will hit them at levels that they’ve never been hit before.”
The comments about a possible war with Iran comes after Trump issued a TruthSocial post in which he told Cuba to make a deal with him of face possible action from the U.S. Trump invaded Venezuela a little over one week ago.
