Trump Celebrates Memorial Day by Saying Dead Soldiers Would Have Loved His Presidency

Trump’s decision to make Memorial Day a tribute to himself, rather than simply focusing on men and women who sacrificed their lives for their country, drew a sharp backlash.

President Donald Trump on Monday sent out a message commemorating Memorial Day by saying that dead American soldiers would loved his presidency.

“Happy Memorial Day!” the president wrote on Twitter. “Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!”

Many people question this president, but it’s no small achievement to write the grossest, most inappropriate, most self-flattering Memorial Day message in the history of the US presidency https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1001085207825534976 …

Those who died fighting Hitler would not be happy to know a man who kept Hitler's speeches bedside is attempting to subvert the Constitution. NO WAY

Trump has a long history of making holidays about him, but this might be the first time he has spoken for dead people.
