Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) is on Wednesday went after Fox News host Laura Ingraham for a poll pitting him against President Donald Trump.

Ingraham pointed to the 2024 election results of Kentucky voters' when Trump opposed former Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump won the state of Kentucky in the presidential race.

Ingraham looked at those election results to ask the question, "Who represents Kentuckians’ (sic) better? President Trump or Rep. Thomas Massie?"

Massie has gone up against Trump in the past several months over the release of the investigation files about Jeffrey Epstein.

"I’m not running against Trump," Massie explained. "We serve in different branches of the government. Our branch makes laws, his branch carries out the laws we make."

One of the first responses to Massie was from someone who purported to be in the Republican congressman's district. He said he would continue to support Massie over Trump since the former protects children from offenders like Epstein, while Trump protects the offenders themselves.

Others blasted Ingraham for not understanding the separation of powers and reminding the Trump loyalist that the president serves the people, not himself.
