'Be on standby if there’s any stunts we need to pull': New audio proves Wisconsin GOP knew Dems won in 2020

Recently released audio proves former President Donald Trump's campaign officials and GOP operatives in Wisconsin were aware that Democrats won the 2020 election, but still pushed false voter fraud claims, The Associated Press (AP) reports.
An anonymous GOP official who was present during the November 5, 2020 meeting where the recorded discussion occurred shared the audio with AP because, they say, "Trump is mounting a third attempt for the White House."
The audio reveals the voice of former Wisconsin Trump campaign lead, Andrew Iverson, who is currently the Midwest regional director for the Republican National Committee, according to AP.
“Here’s the deal: Comms is going to continue to fan the flame and get the word out about Democrats trying to steal this election. We’ll do whatever they need. Just be on standby if there’s any stunts we need to pull,” Iverson said.
AP reports that Wisconsin officials can be heard in the recording actually commending "Democratic turnout efforts in the state’s largest counties and appeared to joke about their efforts to engage Black voters."
Iverson specifically led the Black voter engagement commentary, sarcastically saying, “We ever talk to Black people before? I don’t think so.”
Furthermore, Iverson could be heard "praising the GOP's efforts" knowing the party had just lost the election.

He said, “At the end of the day, this operation received more votes than any other Republican in Wisconsin history. Say what you want, our operation turned out Republican or DJT supporters. Democrats have got 20,000 more than us, out of Dane County and other shenanigans in Milwaukee, Green Bay and Dane. There’s a lot that people can learn from this campaign.”
Despite President Joe Biden winning Wisconsin by 21,000 votes, the state's GOP officials continued to question the legitimacy of the outcome for months, taking legal action, seeking election audits and demanding vote recounts — even with the knowledge that Democrats fairly succeeded.
Steven Cheung, current spokesperson for Trump presidential campaign said, “The 2024 campaign is focused on competing in every state and winning in a dominating fashion. That is why President Trump is leading by wide margins in poll after poll.”
