Sarah Palin alleges Fox News 'canceled' her but admits she 'didn’t bother asking' for evidence

Former Alaska governor, rejected 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee, and twice-failed 2022 United States House of Representatives candidate Sarah Palin has claimed that Fox News "canceled" her over remarks that she made about the network on the same day that ex-President Donald Trump was arraigned in Florida to face the thirty-seven-count indictment filed against him by United States Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith.

Palin offered no evidence to support her allegation, and as Mediaite noted on Saturday, "A Fox News insider is disputing Palin's account. The source says that Palin was one of five guests the network canceled on the day in question due to breaking news, and adds that Palin has not been banned from Fox News."

Nonetheless, on Friday's edition of The Balance on Newsmax, host Eric Bolling lamented the fallout from Fox's chyron that labeled President Joe Biden as a "wannabe dictator," which sparked widespread outrage.

"And the reason why this came up, as Tucker [Carlson] last night talked about, this whole issue where a couple of days ago, Fox put a banner up underneath Joe Biden speaking. They say, 'wannabe dictator.' Okay, with quotes around it. Turns out this producer was kinda pushed out, forced to quit, forced to leave because of that," Bolling recalled. "And I'm going, 'Well, doesn't Biden kinda want to be a dictator? And at the old Fox, that would have been, like, 'Yeah! Wannabe dictator!' But now, for some reason, they're pushing away against real conservative values, aren't they?"

Palin fed that narrative in her response, wherein she accused Fox of targeting her.

"Well yeah, and real conservative contributors who want to give voice to the voiceless out there in the public. They want to hear truth and they want their voice relayed out to the general public in order to empower others who feel the same way. And Fox isn't using those conservatives anymore," Palin said. "As a matter of fact, Eric, thanks to you, I lost another gig. Bless our hearts. It was just about a week or so ago. I was on your show and you had asked something about Fox. Maybe this was two weeks ago. And I was as usual quite candid and off the cuff. And I told you what I thought about what Fox was doing. Well, I had been booked on Fox for the next day and a mutual friend of ours — Ron Duguay, he had been listening — he texted me right after my interview and he said, 'Okay, watch. In three, two, one, you're gonna get canceled.' Yep! I got canceled from Fox and haven't been invited back."

Bolling followed up.

"Did you ask why? I mean, was it because of the commentary on this show that they unbooked you or canceled you?" he asked.

Palin admitted that she had no direct proof to back up her allegation.

"I will bet you donuts to dollars that that's exactly what it was," Palin replied, "No, I didn't bother asking why. It was just a lot more than a coincidence. I've never been canceled except when my contract was canceled some years ago."

Bolling scoffed and stated that "I'll tell ya what, that's disturbing. You know, I mean, if anything else, Fox should welcome more conservative voices, not cancel them if they don't exactly line up perfectly with their new narrative."
