Republicans order 11 witnesses involved in Hunter Biden probe to testify before House

An IRS agent has been doing the rounds on various media outlets claiming, to be a whistleblower revealing that Hunter Biden was given preferential treatment during a five-year investigation into his son's tax evasion.
As a result, Republican House members have called in key investigators to answer questions.
After Joe Biden's administration took over, the Justice Department handed the probe into Hunter Biden to one of Trump's appointees to investigate to avoid the implication of impropriety. Still, Republicans allege impropriety.
Speaking to MSNBC on Wednesday, whistleblower lawyer Harry Litman explained why he didn't believe the IRS agent Gary Shapley, a supervisory agent who helped oversee the Hunter Biden investigation, didn't qualify for that status. And he implied that Shapley has a political axe to grind.
Hunter Biden had two years of unpaid taxes, which he ultimately paid along with additional fees. For others, including former Trump adviser Roger Stone, that's generally the end of the case. In the case of Hunter Biden, however, misdemeanor charges were issued. He made a plea deal regarding them earlier this month, outraging Republicans.
With the allegations coming from the self-described whistleblower, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) have called in 11 witnesses related to the investigation.
The witnesses they want are: Lesley Wolf, Jack Morgan, Mark Daly, Matthew Graves, E. Martin Estrada, David Weiss, Stuart Goldberg, Shawn Weede, Shannon Hanson, Tom Sobocinski (FBI), Ryeshia Holley (FBI).
Wolf was the U.S. Attorney in Delaware that Attorney General Bill Barr handed the investigation over. Jack Morgan and Mark Daly are the DOJ's tax lawyers. Stuart Goldberg is another. One of the self-proclaimed whistleblowers claimed Morgan "said that doing it without Hunter Biden's name would essentially get us most of what we were seeking."
Matthew Graves and E. Martin Estrada are the US Attorneys the self-described whistleblower claimed were the ones truly behind the Hunter Biden case, not David Weiss who was the assigned the case from the DOJ.
Shawn Weede and Shannon Hanson worked in Weiss' office.
