Billionaire Mark Cuban goes to war with Musk's team: 'They don’t want anyone questioning'

Mark Cuban on Sunday took the fight directly to fellow billionaire Elon Musk, as well as the so-called Department of Governmental Efficiency.
Cuban, who supported Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, took to Musk's app, X, over the weekend to call out DOGE.
It started with a right-wing video creator called MAZE quoting Cuban from 2017: "Reduce the overall size of government by at least one third. Focus on making it more efficient," Cuban said at the time.

Cuban responded to that video, saying, "Still stand by it."
"Said it many times before then. Blogged about it too. Difference is the transparency," Cuban said, adding that DOGE "says they are transparent."
"They don’t want anyone questioning them," he added. "When it comes to government transparency: If you have nothing to hide, hide nothing."
Cuban then tagged Musk's account on X and asked, "Why not invite some democrats to work side by side with your Doge teams and report on what exactly is going on? That would get everyone who supports smaller gov and efficiently excited."
In a separate post, Cuban said, "The question is not whether government needs to be smaller. Or whether it needs to be more efficient. It does."
"The question is why isn’t Elon sharing Everything that is happening in real time," the billionaire added. "Think of it as information and data for future generations."
