Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) received critical reactions when she shared her take on reports confirming Fox News' $787 million settlement for the Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit.

In response to the outcome of the trial, Greene tweeted a reaction that raised lots of questions from social media users.

“We have food critics that criticize restaurants, consumer reports that criticizes products, auto critics that criticize automobiles," Greene tweeted, adding, "and conservative Americans have just wrapped up a week of nuking a beer company, but you can’t criticize a voting machine company or you’ll get sued for millions and millions of dollars.”

Social media users quickly dissected the conspiracy theory-driven lawmaker's remarks to highlight the distinct difference between criticism and falsehoods. In fact, some users even went a step further and accused Greene of gaslighting.

"There is nothing you can say or do to confront MAGA gaslighting that won’t be met with more MAGA gaslighting Nothing. That’s the loop we’re in," tweeted legal affairs editor Luke Zaleski. "They will do and say anything. And there is nothing you can do or say to do anything about it. That is the MAGA gaslighting paradox."

Another user tweeted, "Can’t believe we have to explain this to you. Here is the definition of 'criticize,' so now tell us what was the problem with the voting machines? Not a theory! Not a conspiracy! Factual Data…"

"CRITICISM: Marjorie Taylor Greene is a bad member of Congress because she isn't focused on solutions for constituents, just performative outrage. LIE: Marjorie Taylor Greene is very intelligent," another user tweeted. "See? There's a difference."

The Georgia lawmaker's remarks came as Fox News released an official statement acknowledging that it had aired reports that contained false information on voter fraud following the 2020 presidential election. In response to Fox News' statement, Dominion Voting Systems CEO John Poulos released a statement saying, “Fox has admitted to telling lies about Dominion that caused enormous damage to my company, our employees, and the customers that we serve."
