Trump rails against political rivals during rambling speech at Kimberly Guilfoyle’s birthday party

On March 9, members of the Trump family held a birthday party for Donald Trump, Jr.'s fiancé, Kimberly Guilfoyle, the Republican activist and former Fox News pundit who famously yelled and shouted her way through a speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention. And one of the attendees was former President Donald Trump, Sr., who gave a speech that found him bragging about a poll that showed him outperforming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — a likely 2024 presidential candidate — in New Hampshire.
Journalist Alec Regimbal, in an article published by SFGate on March 15, describes the "odd series of things" that happened during the party for Guilfoyle.
Trump, Jr.’s sister Ivanka Trump, according to Regimbal, was “notably absent.” And Trump, Jr. publicized the event on Instagram, posting a photo of him with Guilfoyle (who turned 54) and writing, "Happy birthday to the best broad ever. @kimberlyguilfoyle (inside joke but she knows that’s the highest form of compliment ever!) so relax Karens. 29 only comes once or twice so enjoy it princess. I love you."

Former president Trump, during his rambling speech, plugged his 2024 presidential campaign and told attendees, "We're leading in NH by 47 points." The elder Trump claimed, without offering any proof, that under President Joe Biden's watch, other countries were releasing people from their "mental institutions and insane asylums" and sending them to the United States.
Regimbal comments, "If my soon-to-be father-in-law showed up at my birthday party and briefly stole the spotlight by fulminating about his political opponents, I'd probably be a little miffed. But then again, if my ties to his family were my biggest claim to fame at the moment, I'd simply smile and clap, just like Guilfoyle did."
San Francisco native Guilfoyle was once married to a prominent California Democrat: Gavin Newsom, now the state's governor. But she became increasingly visible in GOP circles after leaving California and moving to the East Coast.
