On Friday, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne blasted rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), accusing him of both antisemitism and of stealing a sample from one of his most famous songs despite Osbourne not giving him permission.

In a post to X/Twitter, Osbourne tagged West's official account in an all-caps post, saying that he explicitly denied the rapper's request to sample Black Sabbath's 1983 song "War Pigs" under the rationale that West is "AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY."

"HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT," Osbourne tweeted. "I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!"

West, who has not yet responded to Osbourne's post, has embraced antisemitism in recent years. In 2022, the Grammy award-winning rapper tweeted that he was going to go "death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE." This caused a major financial blow to his fashion business, with major brands like Adidas and Balenciaga distancing themselves from West.

That same year, Ye openly praised Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and white supremacist Nick Fuentes. He later appeared alongside far-right activist Candace Owens at a fashion show, who is Black, with both of them sporting shirts that read "WHITE LIVES MATTER."

Then in late 2023, the New York Times published an investigation showing that West's espousing of anti-Semitic dated back to at least 2013, when he drew a swastika on a shoe design during a meeting with Adidas executives in Germany, where displays of the swastika are banned. He also told an Adidas executive to "kiss a picture of Hitler every day," heaping praise on the fascist dictator for his command of media and knowledge of branding.

Since West's embrace of antisemitism, his net worth has dropped from $2 billion to roughly $400 million. West later apologized for his remarks in Hebrew characters on an Instagram post, which was criticized on social media as disingenuous.
