'I love my Mexican culture': California man calls out woman’s racist rant at McDonald’s

On Friday, August 18, a Latino man in a McDonald's in Fresno, California intervened when a white female customer went on a racist tirade against employees. A video of that incident has since gone viral, and the man has been identified as Luis Aceves, according to local media outlet Your Central Valley.
When the woman — who Your Central Valley has identified as Gina Aiello — was berating a Latino employee, Aceves told her, "You (can't) come in here and try to degrade people." And she responded, "F*** you, you f****** Mexican."
Aceves told Your Central Valley, "I felt like that was when I needed to step in…. I love my raza, I love my Mexican culture, man. We shouldn't even be doing this to each other. We're all struggling and finding (our) purpose in life, and it just sucks when sometimes, we have a bad day."

Aiello, according to Your Central Valley, formerly worked for a dental practice — which told the publication, "An employee who was seen on video making offensive comments is no longer part of our team… Our diversity is our strength. It’s a cornerstone of our lives and of (our) dental practice."
