Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) — who is one of President Donald Trump's biggest supporters in Congress — is now warning him that his base is not letting the Jeffrey Epstein issue go anytime soon and that he will lose them unless he changes course.

In a Monday tweet to her congressional X account, Greene insisted that the MAGA base is fully invested in making sure the remaining Epstein evidence that hasn't yet been released is made public, and that Trump isn't doing himself any favors by keeping it under wraps. She added that any selective release would not be sufficient to appease his supporters.

"If you tell the base of people, who support you, of deep state treasonous crimes, election interference, blackmail, and rich powerful elite evil cabals, then you must take down every enemy of The People," the Georgia Republican wrote. "If not. The base will turn and there’s no going back. Dangling bits of red meat no longer satisfies. They want the whole steak dinner and will accept nothing else."

Greene's referencing of Trump "dangling bits of red meat" could be a response to the Department of Justice petitioning the court to unseal grand jury testimony from Epstein's federal case. However, as Politico legal correspondent Kyle Cheney reported, the "huge caveat" in that grand jury testimony is that all "personal identifying information" will be redacted and kept secret.

ABC reported recently that among some of the Epstein evidence that has yet to see the light of day includes log books of visitors to Epstein's "Little Saint James" island, which included his private compound. The FBI is also sitting on logs of boat trips to and from the island, and even a "document with names" of Epstein's associates and possible co-conspirators.

While Greene has been one of the loudest Republicans calling for the release of the Epstein files, one House Democrat pointed out that she has yet to follow through on her rhetoric. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) observed that when push came to shove, Greene voted with all of her Republican colleagues against compelling the DOJ to make the Epstein files public.

"As predicted. Completely full of s———. @RepMTG votes to keep Epstein Files buried,” Swalwell wrote on his X account. “After posting nonsense tweet saying she wants them released.”
