Fox hosts: Americans growing 'tired' of GOP’s Biden probes with no 'smoking gun'

Multiple Fox News hosts have grilled guests recently about the lack of any evidence directly implicating President Joe Biden in any acts of alleged corruption.
House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Kentucky) has been charging ahead in his efforts to impeach Biden over his son, Hunter's foreign business dealings, though he has yet to produce evidence showing any of the "high crimes and misdemeanors" the US Constitution says are necessary to merit the impeachment of a sitting president. Neither Comer nor House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) have relented in their impeachment efforts despite the recent indictment of a major witness whose now-debunked testimony served as a cornerstone for their respective investigations.
This has not gone unnoticed by Fox News host Jacqui Heinrich, who pressed New York Post columnist Miranda Devine after she claimed Comer's critics calling for direct evidence were being "unrealistic."

"I think that James Comer probably has dozens of instances where Joe Biden was dialed in on the speakerphone or he invited Hunter's overseas business clients to breakfast at the vice presidential residence, or he went to dinner with them at Cafe Milano while he was vice president, or he dropped in on a lunch after he was vice president with the Chinese," Devine said. "There's so much evidence that it's kind of ridiculous to hear Democrats keep this mantra up of there is no evidence, but unfortunately that gets carried in a lot of the media as well."
"Well is it unreasonable to expect hard evidence, a smoking gun, when you're bringing an impeachment?" Smith countered. "I mean I think that's what even Comer said he was hoping to find."
Fox Business host Stuart Varney took a similar critical tone in a recent interview with Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-North Dakota). While Armstrong maintained the investigation into Hunter Biden was "worthy," Varney reminded him that Republicans "may not have the votes" to impeach Biden when all is said and done.
"Do you think maybe the American public is getting a little tired of this because they can't understand it, it's complicated... how you haven't proved the basic point yet that President Biden was directly involved? Is the public getting tired of it?" Varney said.
