On the third anniversary of the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, the FBI apprehended three suspects accused of attacking police officers and breaching the capitol building following a rally hosted by then-President Donald Trump.

Politico legal correspondent Kyle Cheney tweeted a statement from the FBI issued on Saturday that read "The FBI executed three federal arrest warrants early this morning at a ranch in Groveland, Florida in Lake County. The suspects taken into custody are January 6 fugitives Jonathan Daniel Pollock, Olivia Michele Pollock and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III. The defendants are scheduled to appear in Federal Court in Ocala, Florida on Monday, January 8. No further details concerning their capture are available at this time."

According to the FBI's wanted posters, the three suspects were all considered "armed and dangerous" prior to their apprehension. The FBI even offered a reward of up to $30,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Jonathan Daniel Pollock.

All three suspects have been charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers or employees; aiding and abetting; theft of government property; restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on capitol grounds. Cheney tweeted that the three suspects had been "on the lam for months."

News of the suspects' arrest comes on the heels of a recent press conference by US Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves — the top federal prosecutor in Washington, DC — promising additional arrests and prosecutions of January 6 insurrectionists who are still at large in 2024.

"Many citizens from around the country have already come forward to identify individuals connected with the January 6 attacks," Graves said. "As a result of these tips, scores of individuals have been identified and will soon be prosecuted for violent acts at the Capitol and other violations of federal law."

As of 2024, the DOJ has prosecuted roughly 1,200 January 6 defendants, and secured guilty verdicts and convictions from approximately 900. The FBI has been soliciting tips from the public in identifying January 6 defendants, and anyone with information is encouraged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
