"Fox & Friends" hosts recently expressed concern about Elon Musk's widespread Twitter purge of journalists.

According to Mediaite, the ordeal began on Thursday, December 15, when Musk announced that he'd be "issuing permanent suspensions for a group of journalists who have been critical of his tenure as Twitter CEO, including CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan."

The directive led to critical assessments on Twitter and Musk ultimately attempted to do damage control to explain the situation.

With all that has transpired, the Fox News hosts weighed in with their reactions as they were stunned by the whole ordeal. After Fox News correspondent Kevin Corke offered a detailed explanation of the situation, Steve Doocy pushed back against Musk's claims.

"Hey, Kevin," Doocy said. "So I was reading this morning, it sounds like some of those reporters had talked about the feud he had with the kid who was posting public information about his jet’s location."

Corke responded saying, "Correct. But I think it’s unclear why the others were suspended."

Fox News co-host Brian Kilmeade attempted to applaud Musk because he “came out and announced it right away,” but the host also added, “I don’t think it was the best move he’s ever had.”

When co-host Ainsley Earhardt made another attempt to defend Musk, Doocy fired back again. "I mean, they should be able to go to restaurants and be able to go out and enjoy their lives without having to worry about someone coming up to them or throwing a molotov cocktail at their restaurant," Earnhardt said.

Doocy added, "Sure. But if they were just being critical of him, he’s got to explain why those people were suspended."
