'Bloodbath': GOP infighting grows as Trump whisperer tears into rising MAGA star

Outrage is brewing among MAGA followers after a controversial post from one of the movement's rising stars, with MS NOW reporting Thursday that "Trump whisperer" Laura Loomer was the latest prominent name to tear into him, expressing "buyers remorse" and predicting he was a sign of a GOP midterms "bloodbath."

Nick Shirley is a right-wing YouTuber who gained prominence in recent months for a video highlighting past allegations of welfare fraud in Minnesota. Though his attempts to dig up new examples of fraud were widely discredited, his videos gained immense traction in the MAGA space and were largely credited with driving Donald Trump's historically large deportation surge into the Twin Cities region, which saw two American citizens get gunned down by federal agents. Shirley has recently attempted to level accusations of voter fraud in San Diego and was Minnesota GOP Rep. Pete Stauber's guest for the State of the Union.

This week, however, he earned the ire of numerous MAGA figures after he backed an antisemitic X post sharing a video from creator Tyler Oliveira purporting to document a "Jewish invasion" of New Jersey. The same creator had previously released a video calling a Hasidic community "welfare-addicted Jews" and a video about an alleged "Indian invasion" of Canada.

"EXPOSE IT ALL," Shirley wrote in a post responding to Oliveira's latest video.

This response drew a wave of backlash from within the MAGA movement, with critics accusing him of helping perpetuate antisemitism.

One of the biggest names to speak out so far is Loomer, a right-wing activist noted for her close relationship with Trump and ability to influence his decision-making, with likening her to a "Trump whisperer." She took aim at Shirley in her own series of posts to X.

"Expose what? Jewish U.S. citizens living their life peacefully?" Loomer wrote in her initial post.

"A lot of people have buyers remorse for supporting another influencer who took the bait," Loomer wrote in a follow-up post. "How many GOP lawmakers were photographed with this person? How many White House officials praised him? GOP heading into the midterms with a massive optics issue. And we get nothing but silence.

She added more in a later post: "Optics has never been a strong suit for the GOP. We are now at the point in the GOP where lawmakers are promoting people who say New Jersey citizens need to be 'exposed' for being Orthodox Jews. And the GOP wonders why they didn’t win New Jersey. 90 [percent] of Orthodox Jews voted GOP in New Jersey and worked hard to support President Trump and his endorsed candidate for Governor. Now the party has ruined it all. They just suppressed their own vote ahead of the 2026 midterms because they can’t seem to find any moral clarity. Way to go GOP! Keep on embracing the Jew haters. 2026 is going to be a blood bath."
