Don’t have 'guts to do it': House Oversight Republican says Biden impeachment not 'going to happen'

Although House Republicans have impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, their impeachment campaign against President Joe Biden has gone nowhere. Even Fox News host Dana Perrino has expressed her frustration with their impeachment probe and complained to colleague Bill Hemmer that they "keep doing the same hearing over and over again" — and without accomplishing anything.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tennessee) has clearly grown frustrated as well.
During a Friday morning, March 22 appearance on CNN, the right-wing congressman said he would like to see Biden impeached but admitted that a Biden impeachment vote is not "going to happen."

When CNN's Jim Acosta asked if Republicans should "give up" their "impeachment inquiry," Burchett responded, "Yeah, that's not going to happen. But I wish we would vote on it regardless. Honestly, Jim, you know where I come from, East Tennessee, it's a conservative area. I'm willing to vote on it. I wish these other members would vote on it so they can quit saying up here that they're not for it and then go home and tell all their folks at the Reagan Day dinners and Lincoln Day dinners, 'Dadgummit, I'm for impeachment.'"
Burchett, a member of the House Oversight Committee, continued, "I'm gonna vote, but they don't have the guts to do it."
When Acosta asked Burchett if he would vote to impeach Biden, the Tennessee Republican responded, "Heck yes, I would."
But Burchett quickly added that Biden won't be impeached.

Burchett told Acosta, "Look, it doesn't really matter. You and I are gonna disagree with it. The reality is that this isn't going to come to a vote. They don't have the guts to do anything. It's the reality of it. Let's move on."
